Why a percentage on Plan 2 instead of a flat fee?

Plan 2 includes card processing, which scales with order value. The 2.9% + 30¢ rate bundles card processing, Restcall software, AI calling, dashboard, catering, and reader hardware into one line.

Do I have to switch from my current POS?

No. Plan 1 keeps you on Square / Toast / Clover. Plan 2 replaces your phone ordering and payment checkout — only choose it if you want Restcall to be your POS.

Is there a free trial?

Not currently. The onboarding fee is waived, so the only commitment is your first completed order.

Cash orders on Plan 2 — do those still cost 2.9% + 30¢?

No. Cash orders on Plan 2 are billed at the $0.49 flat platform fee (the Plan 1 rate). The percentage rate covers card processing.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel anytime in the dashboard. No subscription means no recurring charges. You'll pay only for orders completed through your cancellation date.

How do menu updates work?

Upload a new PDF or push a change from your POS. RestCall AI re-reads the menu in about 90 seconds and the new items are live on the next call. Price changes sync automatically from Square, Toast, and Clover.

What happens when the AI doesn't understand?

RestCall AI transfers to a staff phone when its confidence drops — complex allergy questions, catering orders over 12 people, refunds. You set the rules and the number.

What languages does RestCall AI speak?

RestCall AI supports 97 languages through the Gemini Live voice stack — including English, Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin (Chinese), Vietnamese, Arabic, Tagalog/Filipino, French, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Punjabi, Russian, German, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Swahili, Thai, Indonesian, and many more. Can it take catering orders?

Yes, up to a threshold you define (default 40 covers). Larger jobs are captured as a lead with contact info and transferred or emailed to your catering lead.

Which POS systems does it integrate with?

Square, Toast, and Clover today. Otter and Resy are in pilot. Other POS systems: the order is logged in the dashboard and fired to the kitchen printer via SMS.

What if the internet goes down?

RestCall AI runs on the phone network, not your wifi. Callers get answered whether your back-of-house router is behaving or not. If the service has an outage, calls fall back to your original line.

Monthly in arrears

Restcall fees invoice monthly via auto-debit (ACH or card). First invoice covers your first full calendar month.

T+2 payouts (Plan 2)

Card payments deposit to your bank on Stripe's standard 2-business-day schedule. No reserves on accounts in good standing.

Out of PCI scope

Card data never touches Restcall servers. Stripe Terminal and Stripe.js handle tokenization end-to-end. You're in SAQ-A (lowest tier).

Chargebacks at cost

$15 per chargeback (Stripe's standard dispute fee, passed through). You can dispute in the dashboard. We don't take a cut of refunds.

1099-K via Stripe

Stripe issues 1099-K where required by law. Sales-tax collection is your responsibility — we don't withhold it.

Cancel anytime

No subscription means no recurring fee. Final invoice covers orders through your cancellation date. Data is exportable for 30 days post-cancellation.

Payment processing services for Plan 2 restaurants are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.

A caller placed an order, the AI confirmed it, and you accepted it in the dashboard (or it auto-accepted after 10 minutes). Hang-ups, callers who only asked questions (hours, directions, allergens), and orders cancelled before acceptance are never billed.
