Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

RestCall AI (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates an AI-powered phone-ordering platform that restaurants use to take customer orders over the phone. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about people who call restaurants that use RestCall AI.

2. Information we collect

  • Phone number— captured automatically from Caller ID when you call a RestCall-powered restaurant number.
  • Name— only if you provide it verbally so the restaurant can attach it to your order.
  • Order contents— items you order, modifications, and pickup time.
  • Call audio— we record both sides of the call for quality assurance and order-fulfillment debugging. We do not use recordings to train third-party models. Recordings are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

3. How we use the information

  • To process and fulfill your order with the restaurant.
  • To send you a one-time SMS containing a link to track your order in real time, only after you verbally consent during the call. These messages are transactional — not marketing.
  • To improve the AI assistant’s accuracy and reliability.
  • To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

4. SMS messaging

During the phone call, the AI assistant verbally asks for your permission to send you a tracking-link SMS. We send SMS only to customers who verbally agree. RestCall AI is the sender of record for these messages; each message identifies the specific restaurant in the message body.

Message frequency:typically 1–3 messages per order (order received, building, ready). Cost: message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Supported carriers:major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and US Cellular.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL to any message. Reply HELP for support. Mobile carrier information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not sell SMS-related data.

5. Who we share information with

  • The restaurant you’re ordering from, so they can prepare your food and contact you about the order.
  • Service providers that help us run the platform (telephony, speech-to-text, hosting). These providers are bound to confidentiality and used only to deliver the service.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where legally required.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share SMS consent or phone numbers with any third party for marketing.

6. Retention

Order data is retained as long as the restaurant’s account is active. Call recordings and transcripts are kept for a limited review window and then deleted. You can request deletion of your information at any time — see section 9.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, signed webhooks, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — we’ll notify affected users if a breach occurs, consistent with applicable law.

8. Children

RestCall AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

9. Your rights and contact

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. To unsubscribe from SMS, reply STOP to any message we send you.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
